The Sensory Program for the Performing Arts

Enhancing the theater experience for persons with visual impairments in North Central Wisconsin since 2008.

Wausau Community Theatre’s Sensory Program for the Performing Arts (SPPA) was established in 2008 to provide a more enjoyable theater experience to people with visual or hearing impairments through on-stage tours and live performance audio description. With the assistance of our program partner, CenterStage Band and Show Choir, SPPA is offered at many local arts performances.

The Sensory Program is available for the Friday performance of all Wausau Community Theatre productions presented at the Grand Theater.

For more information or to volunteer, contact Wausau Community Theatre at 715-359-3972.

Wausau Community Theatre serves to enrich lives by providing quality, volunteer produced live theatre.

We work hard at creating a theatrical experience that will be inspirational and educational, and have a positive influence on and within the community.

Wausau Community Theatre is supported in part, by the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Arts Board and the B.A. & Esther Greenheck Foundation.
